Prime Account

Prime Account
How the Prime Account works

Prime is where a Master Account becomes a career. There are two ways in: after the third reward, unlocking Prime is optional, or FundingPips extends an invite. Every level cleared grows the account and moves further up the ladder. Reaching the top earns Certified FundingPips Trader status: the track record goes on the Tradin Investor Marketplace, real investors back the strategy. It starts with one Prime Account and daily rewards, and it opens into a portfolio that keeps growing.

How Prime is reached

The profit after the 3rd reward must reach at least 2% up to 10% of the Master Account size to unlock a Prime Account. The amount after the reward split is multiplied by 12.5 to set the Prime Account size. Or FundingPips extends an invite directly, based on trading performance.

When the Prime Account opens, the Master Account closes once all open trades have closed. For example, an unlock of $8K after the reward cycle split opens a $100K Prime Account. Only the profit earned on the Prime Account can be requested.

Total profit (after the 3rd reward) × the split % × 12.5 = Prime Account Size

What happens after unlocking

Unlocking creates a Prime Account. Before trading is enabled, KYC verification must be completed and the Prime Account Agreement signed. Both steps can be completed from the Rewards page. Once both are done, onboarding takes up to 7 working days, then the Prime Account number appears and the account is ready to trade.

Unlocking the Prime Account requires its own KYC and Customer Agreement, separate from the Master Account, which must be completed before trading is enabled.

Max Loss
The two loss limits at a glance. Identical on every Prime Account; each links to its full mechanic below.
Soft Daily Loss 2%: a soft breach that pauses trading for the day; the account stays open and resumes the next trading day
Max Loss Limit The floor starts 8% below the starting balance, moving upward and locks once the balance is 5% above the Prime Account size.A breach closes the account. The floor only resets onthe next scale-up
2% Soft Daily Loss Limit

The 2% Soft Daily Loss Limit applies the higher value between the starting balance or equity. If realized or unrealized losses hit this level, trading is paused for the rest of the day. The account resumes the next trading day.

A soft breach will not close the account. The daily limit resets at 00:00 Platform Time (UTC+3).

One day with the 2% Soft Daily Loss Limit

Example on a $100K Prime Account. The limit is 2% of the higher of the day's opening balance or equity, so $2,000, setting Day 1's floor at $98,000. Touching it pauses the day; it never closes the account. Day 2 opens from $98,000, and its floor resets 2% below that to $96,040.

Two trading days on a 100K Prime Account: balance stays above the floor while equity, balance plus open trade profit and loss, falls to the 2 percent soft daily loss floor at 98,000 and pauses on day one; day two both open from 98,000 and recover
8% Max Loss Limit

On every Prime Account, the Max Loss is a trailing 8% Max Loss Limit, whichever model the reward came from. The floor starts 8% below the starting balance and moves upward with the highest recorded balance at end-of-day.

The floor stops trailing once the end-of-day closing balance is 5% or above the starting Prime Account size. At that point the floor locks at 97% of the starting Prime Account size. The floor only resets on the next scale-up.

On a scale-up, the floor recalculates from the new size
On a scale-up, the trailing 8% floor and its lock level reset from the new account size, never from a reward. On a $100K to $110K scale-up the starting floor moves from $92K to $101,200. The Scaling Plan tab covers scaling in full.
Six trading days on a $100K Prime Account

Example on a $100K Prime Account. The trailing 8% floor starts at $92K, trails upward with the highest recorded balance at end-of-day, and locks at $97K once the end-of-day closing balance reaches 5% above the starting Prime Account size.

Six trading days on a 100K Prime Account: balance closes higher each day and stays above the floor, equity is balance plus open trade profit and loss and dips lower intraday, the 8 percent floor trails on daily closes and locks at 97K after a 5 percent close, and on day 6 equity touches the locked floor and breaches while balance is still above it
Day by day: the floor trails on each closing high, then locks
Day (end-of-day close) Close Floor Locked?
Day 1 closes at a new high $101K $93K No
Day 2 hits $102K intraday, gives it back before the close $100,500 $93K No (no new closing high)
Day 3 closes at a new high $102K $94K No
Day 4 closes 5% up; the floor locks $105K $97K Yes, locked
Day 5 closes higher; the floor is locked $112K $97K Yes (will not trail)
Day 6 equity touches $97K intraday n/a $97K Breached

How scaling works

The ladder, starting at $100K

Worked on a Prime Account that opens at $100K. Each level needs +10% profit and 10 profitable days, and every step raises the account size by 10%, up to the $2M maximum, then investor capital.

Each scale-up needs two things on the current level: +10% cumulative profit on the level's starting size, and 10 profitable days on the level, not consecutive, where a profitable day closes at 0.5% or more of the account size. Request the scale-up on the dashboard once both are met, and the account grows by 10% of that level's starting size.

Example One level up, starting at $100K

A $100K Level 1 Prime Account reaches $10K cumulative profit with 10 profitable days, requests the scale-up, and grows to $110K. The next target is $11K.

Scaling table: starting at $100K
Level Account Size Profit Level (10%) Earnings (80%) Max Loss (8%)
1 $100,000 $10,000 $8,000 $8,000
2 $110,000 $11,000 $8,800 $8,800
3 $121,000 $12,100 $9,680 $9,680
4 $133,100 $13,310 $10,648 $10,648
5 $146,410 $14,641 $11,713 $11,713
10 $235,795 $23,579 $18,864 $18,864
Level 10 is where the account reaches Certified FundingPips Trader status. The ladder continues 10% per level up to $2M, then investor capital.
What changes at each level
The Prime Account number stays the same through every level, and the Max Loss Limit recalculates from the new size, its only reset. Rewards stay daily on the 80% split at every level.

Certified FundingPips Trader

At Scale-up Level 10 or $2M the account reaches Certified FundingPips Trader: featured on the Tradin Investor Marketplace with an audited track record, earning a 20% profit share on investor capital.

A Prime Account can be unlocked from more than one Master Account, so several can be held within the allocation: a separate Prime Account per strategy or stage. Or combine them: any Prime Accounts can merge into one, whichever Master Accounts they were unlocked from, because every Prime Account carries the same trailing 8% Max Loss Limit. 80% Reward Split

One trading day on a $100K Prime Account: request whenever profit meets the 1% minimum

80% of every reward is kept. A reward can be requested whenever the closed profit meets the 1% minimum, any number of times a day, and trading continues between requests.

How do daily rewards work?

80% of profits on the Prime Account are kept under the daily 80% split. A reward can be requested on any day the profit meets the 1% minimum of the Prime Account Size (including the split), without waiting for a scale-up. It can be requested any number of times in a day, each time the closed profit meets the minimum again, with trading continuing throughout.

Each request is deducted directly, so trading continues with no processing pause, and a reward never resets or lowers the Smart Max Loss Limit. Transfers are subject to exchange rates and fees. The reward methods themselves live in Your Rewards, Your Way.

How does the end-of-day 20% split work?

The 20% split is applied once at the end of each trading day for all profits that have not been requested. Only applied once, either during reward request or at the end of trading day.

Example A day with a mid-day reward request

Early in the day, a $5K profit closes and is requested as a reward: $4K is available, $1K is the split, and the $5K leaves the Prime Account balance. Later the same day, another $2K closes and is not requested; at end of day $400 (20% of $2K) is deducted and $1,600 stays on the account as the split.

Rewards are separate from scale-ups
Reaching the 10% scale-up target is not required to request a reward. The 10% target triggers scale-up eligibility, not reward eligibility. As long as a request meets the 1% minimum of the Prime Account Size, it can be taken, multiple times per day.

Commission

One commission across every model: $10 per lot, except Crypto

Prime commission is a flat $10 per lot on every instrument except Crypto, and it is the same whichever model the Prime Account opened from. Crypto uses a formula instead: lot size × price × 0.04%.

Same $10 per lot on all four, identical across 1 Step, 2 Step Standard, 2 Step Flex, 2 Step Pro and Zero. Forex $10 / lot Metals $10 / lot Energies $10 / lot Indices $10 / lot Lot size × Price × 0.04% = Crypto Commission

Standard Leverage Plan

The Prime Account uses the Standard Leverage Plan, a tiered system: smaller positions get higher leverage (up to 1:2000), stepping down as the position on an instrument grows. Margin is cumulative, so each tier applies only to the portion of volume within its range, and the benefit of the lower tiers is kept however large the trade. It is measured per instrument, across all the positions on that instrument, and applies to every Prime Account regardless of the original model.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens to my Master Account when I unlock Prime?

It closes once it has no open trades, and its allocation frees back into the $400K pool. The new Prime Account then takes its place at the unlock amount multiplied by 12.5; see Allocation.

How do I get a Prime Account?

Any time after the 3rd reward request, Prime can be unlocked once the profit reaches at least 2% of the Master Account size; up to 10% of that size counts toward the Prime, after the reward cycle split and 12.5 multiplier. Or FundingPips extends an invite; see Getting Started.

How big will my Prime Account be?

Take the profit unlocked with, apply the reward-cycle split, then multiply by 12.5. The multiplier is the same for every model, so only the unlock amount changes the size. The calculator under Getting Started works it out.

Can I request the unlock amount back later?

No. The unlock amount is the price to open the Prime Account, not a requestable balance. Only the profit earned trading the Prime Account is requestable, at the 80% split; see Rewards.

Does my commission change on a Prime Account?

Prime commission is a flat $10 per lot on every instrument except Crypto, the same whichever model the Prime Account opened from. Crypto uses lot size × price × 0.04%; see Commission.

Can I open a Prime Account from the US or Canada?

No. The Prime Account is MT5 only, and MT5 is restricted in the United States and Canada, so a Prime Account cannot be opened there under the current plan; see Platform.

What happens to the Max Loss Limit after a reward?

Nothing: a reward never resets or lowers the floor. Only a scale-up recalculates it, from the new size; see the Max Loss Limit section under Trading Objectives.

What does a scale-up need?

Two things are required on the current level: a +10% cumulative profit based on the level's starting size and 10 profitable days. Then, submit a request through the dashboard. See the Scaling Plan for more details.

Can I run more than one Prime Account?

Yes. A Prime Account can be unlocked from more than one Master Account, so several can be held at once as long as they fit the $400K allocation, one per strategy or stage. Because the trailing 8% Max Loss Limit is identical on every one, any of them can merge into a single account afterward; see Allocation.

What does a breach cost me?

The breached Prime Account closes; the other accounts and the allocation are unchanged, and a new one can be unlocked from another Master Account; see Allocation.
