Both news trading and weekend trading come with their own set of risks. News trading can lead to fast market movements and high volatility. Weekend trades are subject to overnight and weekend risks that might not exist during normal trading hours. To manage these risks, we have different rules in place for different models.
To stay informed and manage risk effectively, we use Forex Factory as the official source for our news calendar, which you can also access directly through your FundingPips dashboard for added convenience.
IMPORTANT:
High-impact news are highlighted in red, but speeches may not always be marked the same way.

During the Evaluation Stage
There are no restrictions on holding trades during news events or over the weekend during the evaluation stage. You are free to manage your trades as you see fit.โ
IMPORTANT:
Purposely trading news is prohibited and will lead to account termination.
During the Master Account
You can hold trades during news events and over the weekend. However, there are specific rules regarding trades opened or closed near high-impact news events.
High-Impact News Events
You are allowed to hold trades during news events and over the weekend. However, profits from trades that are opened or closed 5 minutes before and after a high impact news event or speech on affected currencies will not be counted on the Master account unless the trade was executed 5 hours before to the news event.
The restricted 10-minute window includes 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after the news event. This news trading restriction applies to all forms of trade execution, including manual trades, pending orders, stop-loss orders, and take-profit orders.
Example:
โIf you trade a USD pair within 10 minutes of high-impact USD news, profits wonโt count unless the trade was executed 5 hours before the news.โ
Speeches
During news speeches, the restricted window extends from 5 minutes before the speech begins until 5 minutes after the speech concludes.

Trading Rule Clarification
Trades Opened More Than 5 Hours Before the News: Profits will count if closed within the 10-minute window before the event.
Trades Opened Less Than 5 Hours Before the News: Profits will not count if closed during the 10-minute window.
Closing any partial orders will affect the entire order, leading to a flag for news trading.
Traders are responsible for violations if deductions exceed the daily loss or maximum loss limit.
Reminder
News trading will result in the deduction of any profits made from trades executed within the restricted 10-minute window unless executed 5 hours before the news event.
We do not support trading news on purpose and it will lead to a termination.
FundingPips Zero
Holding trades during high-impact news events or over the weekend is NOT ALLOWED on the FundingPips Zero Master account. Violating these restrictions will result in an account breach.
IMPORTANT:
A position cannot be held or opened 10 minutes before and 10 minutes after a high-impact news event on the affected currency.
During speeches, the restricted window extends from 10 minutes before the speech begins until 10 minutes after the speech concludes.
Holding a position over the weekend is also prohibited. Ensure all trades are closed before the market closes on Friday.
Opening a trade during this window on affected currencies will lead to account termination.
